Marine Falls On Grenade - Gives Life To Save Fellow Soldiers.

Corporal Jason Dunham gave the ultimate sacrifice to save his fellow marines - his life. Dunham's team was in transit to assist fellow soldiers under attack when they also came under attack. Dunham ordered his team to dismount their vehicles and led his team towards the fellow soldiers who were under attack. Dunham's team quickly came upon several militant vehicles ready to depart. Durham's team stopped the vehicles to search them for weapons. As Dunham approached one vehicle, a militant leaped out and attacked him. During the struggle, the militant released a grenade. Dunham alerted his fellow marines of the threat and quickly put his helmet and body on top of the grenade. The grenade expoded killing Corporal Dunham. He's credited with saving the lives of at least two fellow marines. Corporal Dunham is certainly a modern day hero. He was subsequently awarded the Medal of Honor for his bravery.
